This course includes both presentations and workshops and the keynote speaker is Andy Horwood.
The venue is the Copthorne Hotel, Manchester M50 3SN, delegates wishing to stay overnight on the 8th December can book accommodation at the Copthorne Hotel for £70 per night. The location map and directions can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
Delegates gain valuable experience in the diagnosis and treatment of heel pain and metatarsalgia.
Andy Horwood is a musculoskeletal podiatrist with an interest in biomechanics and evolutionary biology. Andy has worked in the independent sector for the last 18 years as well as writing a module for Staffordshire Universities MSc in Clinical Podiatric Biomechanics. Andy continues as a module leader in Origins and Principles of Podiatric Biomechanics on the MSc and is an Honorary Visiting Fellow of Staffordshire University. Andy is also Technical Director at Healthystep (Sensograph) Ltd and a Clinical adviser (musculoskeletal) to Bailey’s Instruments. Andy is a member of The Society for the Study of Human Biology.

10.30am Delegates will split into groups and follow either:
Workshop 1. Heel Pain - covering diagnosis and treatment plans for heel pain or
Workshop 2. Metatarsalgia
12.30pm Lunch
1.30pm Delegates will split into groups and follow the workshop they did not attend in the moring session.
